Tontxi Vazquez, Creative Development Producer's successful background in acquisitions and licensing rights for film and photographic content (IP) to a global broadcast and publishing industry culminated in profiting THE IMAGE BANK, FPG, OMNI PHOTOS, PETER ARNOLD INT’L AGENCY and in partnering with THIRD MILLENNIUM FILMS and FOOTAGEFILE.


He is a pioneer of web content, digitisation, meta-data, and the electronic licensing of media content. His cornucopia of creativities also includes curating and exhibiting fine arts, book publishing, managing rights-controlled Dstock, and the JAV/archivo, a photo archive spanning 50+ years of looking into Latino culture. His curating-in essence follows through on time-based creative intellectual property projects and activities.

  • Collaborated with Industry Players

    His profound and unique relationship with the creative community continues to steadily gain provenance and deeper pocket relationships with industry players. Recently, he collaborated with jazz pianist Noah Haidu's and Jeff Chuang’s DOCTONE a feature-length documentary about the late pianist-extraordinaire Kenny Kirkland which features Sting alongside Billy Hart, Jeff Tain, Wynton Marsalis, Jerry Gonzalez, and many iconic jazz figures. 

  • Worked in an Artist Advisory Board Committee

    Tontxi was also selected as an artist advisory board committee member to help curate the extended-due to the Covid pandemic, popular 2020-2022 NEW YORK, NEW MUSIC 1980-1986 exhibition by the Museum of The City of New York. 

  • Produced, Self-Published, & Created New Media

    In the interim, he produced THE COMPOSER a short film by Getty photographer David Troncoso. A background in music has also added to his producing palette. His JAV/archivo, which spans 50 years of editorial and fine art photography, has also lead to self-publishing 6 monographs. Selects from these were featured by DODHO photo-magazine. 


    He is also currently completing a poetry book by children and a book of 4 short children’s tales.

    He is quite adept in the arena of specialized content for motion pictures, sound and or publishing and so creative IP is a multilingual and multi-cultural passion.     Based in London, he currently specializes in getting the best production values from micro- to mid-lower budget co-production feature films and creative documentaries, with a focus on UK based bi-lingual foreign language local culture and on alternative depictions of people of color of diverse cultures, omissions in history, and the female point of view.


    Currently, he is attached to writer/director/producers Roy Szuper’s and James Ivory’s New York City comedy feature CAN’T LET IT GO (featuring Mario Cantone, Ella Loudon, Dhevika Bhise, David Fierro, Carmen Boixdera, AVT) and Richard Vagabond Beaumont’s creative documentaries HARLEM’S LAST POET/Abiudon Oyewole selected for Film London’s PFM New Talent 2018, ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE FIRE ESCAPE a serial tome of Spoken Word elder griots, CB-CB (working title) about Cecil Beaton’s sole USA photo assistant and the feature THE BLIND SEER OF CONEY ISLAND featuring Isaach de Bankole (Black Panther, The Limits of Control, Godfather of Harlem), and RENT’S Tony Award winner Wilson Jermaine Heredia.
